#17 of 1001 Bitter & Twisted by Harviestoun Brewing
Harviestoun Brewing has been a craft brewery, a non-craft brewery and a craft brewery once again. From 2006 to 2008 Harviestoun was bought by Caledonian Brewery which is not considered an independent brewery. Then after the merger with Heineken was divested and back to being independent. This beer is named after the founder whose wife believes is “Bitter & Twisted”. Funny, Beer Bitch Says the same thing about me.
Tasting Notes:
Poured from the bottle into an Imperial Pint Glass, Bitter & Twisted is golden in color. Distinct grapefruit aroma and a bit grassy gave way to a more lemony flavor than I expected. Although carbonated, the beer covers your tongue like water, but allows your thirst to be quenched.
