Beer Counter – No Fingers Required

Overview
For those who never learned to count using your fingers, you might need this app while drinking. So what does Beer Counter do? Just as it says- counts the number of beers you consume. With a simple touch of a button you can add another beer to your list. If you want to get fancy, you can enter the price of the beer just to double-check the bartender’s math. In case you get tap happy, you can also take away a beer from your counter. Drinking two nights in a row? No worries, you can restart the counter. The app can also keep track of your past drinking history. I suppose on Monday you can evaluate damage done to your liver over the past weekend.
Pointless… yes, no, maybe?
So thinking this app is totally worthless? Yeah, I do- Unless you are in Germany. Waitresses there simply make a mark on your coaster to keep track of the numbers of beers you consume. According to the app’s website, if you speak German, or for the rest of us click here, waitress in the middle of Germany don’t make the marks, so if you want to keep track of how much you have drunk you need to do it yourself. My verdict? Worthless in the US, perhaps practical in Germany where the beer is always flowing.
